Dr. Emmanuel Nsutebu, MD, MPH, MRCP (UK), FRCP, is a Consultant Physician and Chair of the Infectious Disease Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Nsutebu has 25 years of experience managing and treating infectious diseases. He has a special interest in severe bacterial infections, multidrug-resistant infections, quality improvement, patient safety and clinical leadership. Furthermore, Dr. Nsutebu is also Chair of the African Sepsis Alliance and the Infection Prevention & Control Committee, an investigator for the African Research Collaboration on Sepsis, a member of the Global Sepsis Alliance and a member of the SEHA Infectious Disease and Infection Control Council. After graduating from the UK, he became an Associate Medical Director for Deterioration and Sepsis at the Royal Liverpool Hospital and a clinical advisor for the National Health Service (NHS) in England. Being a keen researcher, Dr. Nsutebu has published over 50 articles in collaboration with international stakeholders such as the World Health Organization and the Global Sepsis Alliance.
