Dr. Rana Aljaber is a Senior Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with over 15 years of expertise in the field. She currently serves as the Head of Pharmacy Supportive Services at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre (SQCCCRC), where she oversees Formulary Management, Drug Information, Pharmacovigilance, Investigational Drug Management, and Training and Staff Development. She is also the Head of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Technical Subcommittee and a member of the Ethics Committee, IRB, Clinical Trials committee and strategic planning committee at SQCCCRC.
In addition to her role at SQCCCRC, she is a lecturer at the National University of Science and Technology for master’s students in clinical pharmacy.
Dr. Aljaber earned her PharmD degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2007. She obtained her American Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy in 2012, completed a fellowship in Research Ethics at San Diego University in 2018, and earned a master’s degree in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics from UPF in Spain in 2024.
She practiced at King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan for fourteen years as a Senior Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and Investigational Drug Pharmacy Supervisor. During her tenure, she also served as a preceptor for the ASHP pharmacy residency program (PGY1), training pharmacy students and residents in the oncology clinical pharmacy field.
