Based currently at the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, as a Leading Clinician for the Liver Transplant Program, adult and Paediatric. Proud member of the Transplant Institute at SKMC.
I Graduated from Medical School in 1993 by the “Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona” and completed my surgical training at the Vall Hebron Hospitals (Barcelona, Spain) in 1999. Thereafter, I moved to the United kingdom, completing 2 fellowships from 2002-2005 (Edinburgh and Leeds). I became then Consultant Surgeon at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary (2005-2011) and later on relocated at Saint James’s hospital in Leeds (2011-2018). My qualifications are MD, PhD and FRCS by Edinburgh College. From May 2018 until September 2024, I took the position as a Lead Clinician for Liver Transplantation again in Vall Hebron Hospitals (Barcelona, Spain). I have dedicated now, more than 20 years to treat surgical conditions involving the liver with particular interest in paediatric liver transplantation.
