Dr.Khlood Mustafa Catroon is a is a clinical pharmacy manager at Corniche Hospital, the premier maternity hospital in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Khlood obtained both her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy, Baghdad University in 1990 and 1997 respectively.
Khlood then proceeded to work as an assistant teacher in the College of Pharmacy, Baghdad University for 12 years. In 2009, Khlood joined Corniche hospital in Abu Dhabi to work as an in-patient pharmacist.
Khlood has researches conducted at Baghdad University. Khlood participated in many projects, audits related to quality improvement, medication safety initiatives both at the hospital and SEHA level, in addition to Corniche antimicrobial stewardship program, in both adults and neonates, and is a silver winner at SEHA level for the QIP entitled “A Collaborative Approach to Enhancing Medication Safety in a Tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
While assuming her role as a neonatal clinical pharmacist, she holds a great interest towards the long term care of the hospital’s tiny patients, represented by her participation in projects related to the follow up of the immunization schedules for infants and cycling of sedation in long term ventilated neonatal patients and TDM for aminoglycosides.
