Dr. Maqsood khan, Senior clinical pharmacist internal medicine & Co-Chair Antibiotic stewardship program at sheikh Khalifa medical city has graduated Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) from University of the Punjab Pakistan in 2008. After graduation Dr. Khan completed his training in clinical pharmacy at Shaukat khanum memorial cancer hospital Lahore Pakistan, one of the best hospital of the country.
In 2011 Dr.Khan got his board certification as Board certified Pharmacotherapy specialist from Board of pharmacy specialty USA and in In 2013 got added qualification infectious diseases ,from Board of pharmacy specialty U.S.A
He worked as Clinical pharmacist internal medicine & infectious diseases at Shaukat khanum memorial cancer hospital Pakistan from Februarys 2009 –September- 2012. During his work in Pakistan he was the champion and pioneer of introducing the idea of Antimicrobial stewardship program and he successfully established highly robust and comprehensive Antibiotic stewardship program in that hospital.
After joining Sheikh Khalifa medical city ABUDHABI, he contributed with his expertise and rejuvenated, introduced and established antibiotic stewardship program in collaboration with Infectious diseases physicians, Internists, intensivist and Microbiology. Has been invited speaker and has presented more than 100 presentations on topic of infectious diseases therapeutics and other topics related to clinical pharmacy practice nationally and internationally
