Bio

Dr. Sheilla Rashid received her B.Sc. Pharmacy degree in 1994 from University of Brighton, U.K. She became a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical society of Great Britain (RPS) since 1995 to-date. Her first experience was based in a community pharmacy where she was involved in over the counter prescribing, outpatient clinics, supplying medications to nursing homes and treatment of drug addicts. She came to UAE in 1997 and joined Dubai Hospital under DOHMS, a 630-bed hospital where she got involved with out-patient, in-patient pharmacy and then parental nutrition pharmacy services. In 2005, she moved to Tawam Hospital and participated in improving safe parenteral nutrition services.

In 2010, she was appointed as deputy in-charge for in-patient pharmacy and participated in multiple Joint Commission International Accreditations. She pursued and completed her Pharm.D. in 2013 from UAE University and later joined clinical pharmacy team. She is one of the preceptors of SEHA pharmacy residency program and she has UAE university adjunct lecturer position from 2017 to-date. She has ongoing clinical teaching experience and involved in abstract publications accepted for poster and oral presentations by international conferences. She has been involved in different projects at Tawam hospital and on the wave platform with other SEHA facilities. She would like to share one of the recent projects which has been accepted for oral presentation by the coming 45th IHF World Health Congress, Nov 2022, Dubai.
