Dr. Lina Wahba is a Head of clinical pharmacy team and the principal oncology clinical pharmacist at the adult oncology unit-Tawam hospital UAE. She also works as an adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. She earned her BSc in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jordan University of Science and Technology-Jordan, then had her MSc degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the school of pharmacy, university of London- UK. She conducted her clinical training at Barts’ and the London NHS hospital trust-London. She obtained her board certification in oncology pharmacy from the American Pharmacy association in 2013.
She maintains a primary clinical practice in Tawam oncology unit, and leading the Medication use evaluation committees. Lina has been having a major role in optimizing Chemotherapy regimens and enhancing patient care During her career, Lina worked as a clinical pharmacist in different institutions.
She established the clinical pharmacy services in the paediatric oncology ward at King Hussein cancer centre- Amman/Jordan. She has many publications in addition to different abstracts that had been presented in the UK clinical pharmacy association conference, the American Society of Health System Pharmacists association (ASHP), Emirates Oncology Conference, and recently in the Journal of Oncology Pharmacy Practice (JOPP). Finally, Lina is the principal pharmacist in a number of Phase III multinational RCTs which are involving investigational chemotherapeutic and targeted agents.
